On April 1st, 2011 KWS formed a 100 % subsidiary named KWS POTATO B.V. as a Dutch company and relocated the headquarters from Poeldijk to Emmeloord, the Netherlands. Emmeloord has already been the existing breeding center of Van Rijn - KWS .

KWS will use its global network of research and breeding stations, its close connection to farmers and international sales force to intensify the potato activities within the next years.
KWS POTATO B.V. is now working towards a significant segment of the potato variety and seed potato market on a global scale by using new technologies and by focusing on innovative products that fit into sectors such as the convenience and healthy lifestyles of today’s consumers.
